SEO UX Tips: Enhancing Your User Experience & Your SEO At the same time

Definition: UX (User Experience)

“User Experience” comprises all aspects of the end-users interaction with the company, its services, and its products. It can be how the user sees and uses your website/software. it can be how your user gets their package in the mail with your product. It can be how they literally see your building when they walk in the buy something. All of these are different examples of UX in the real world.

Here are our SEO UX Tips: Taking User Experience To The Next Level. Find out the steps for taking your user’s experience to the next level for your site!

You may or may not already know that UX (User Experience) goes hand and hand with SEO. Why is this? Because all Google cares about in the end is did this blog post or page become useful to the user or not.

What’s essential for SEO, is a good User Experience. So let’s improve it where we can!

Have a great mobile layout

There is research saying that mobile searches around the world are over 60% of the total searches and are climbing.

So if you aren’t making the best possible mobile experience for your users, you are missing out in a big way.

Having good navigation, breaking up content, and not having rediculous pop-ups are great starting points.

Have fast page loading speeds

It should go without mentioning that your user needs to be able to see your webpage fast. Slow page loading hits your ranking for SEO. Why? Because it’s not in the user’s best interest to be waiting to get a result from a Google search within 5 minutes of loading. Users won’t wait for information to load if it goes past more than a few seconds of loading.

Conversely, if you have lightning-fast speeds and great content optimized to your user’s search results, you will win. You are going to show up in Google Search way higher than competitors and hit the top results.

So again, the point is that you provide a quality written product fast and effective for your user.

Having social media buttons on your site

Social media buttons provide multiple uses for your users:

  • Showing your social media accounts provides some credibility to your accounts.
  • You can include social media share buttons to easily give your users the option to share your content.
  • Once your content is shared, it will provide more and more people with reasons to come back to your site.
  • It’s a way to get your name out there and to have it promoted.

Crafting your content for users

Content is everything when it comes to SEO. But not just any content. SEO content optimized for user experience is beneficial in many ways. It also goes hand and hand.

Let me give you some examples:

  • SEO used to be optimized around specific keywords. But Google has improved its processes to figure out elements including specific keywords and related keywords working together. So optimizing your content around only one specific keyword isn’t going to work as well as content more concerned with your user.
  • If you have a specific keyword to optimize in mind, check out the top three results of that keyword. What do those web pages provide? What do they have in common to answer the user’s questions? Where can you optimize or fill the gaps in those web pages? What is a better answer to that question?

Use images and break up your content

Using images is a great way to break up your content. There are more ways to do this, such as using bullet points, ordered lists, or CTAs. But images also catch the eye and make the content overall easier to read. It also helps the more visual learner, especially when you are describing the 1-2-3 steps of how to do something. It also makes your page interesting! You need to engage your audience and keep them on the page. This is part of the entire SEO ranking strategy: how long a user stays on your page. The longer the better obviously.
